MY JOURNEY

In my first full year (2021) I won the Junior Kart Championship (JKC) in Junior Prokart, a series that visits various circuits around the United Kingdom as well as finishing runner-up in the Teesside Sprint Series where I broke the lap record on Bridgestone tyres before the switch to Dunlops the following year.

 

2022 saw me successfully defend my JKC Junior Prokart Championship as well as competing in Junior Rotax in the same series, this meant that I would race 8 times rather than 4 on race days. This also meant that my Dad had to mechanic two karts so it was very rewarding for the both of us to add to my win in Junior Prokart with a second place finish in the Junior Rotax championship.

At Teesside the championship battle went down to the wire but despite my best efforts I missed out by a mere 2 points.

 

Having dipped my toes into endurance racing in the winter of 2022, winning the British Prokart Endurance Championship (BPEC) Clubman 0 plate as part of the TSM squad, I stepped up into Senior Prokart at the age of 14 for 2023 contesting the full BPEC season, now in the Pro class having been promoted, alongside another full season at Teesside.

 

The year at Teesside was my most successful to date, the switch to Seniors suiting me as I took 7 class wins in the Clubman class, securing the title with a round to spare & jumping up to the Pro class to score a podium in 3rd at the final event.

The BPEC series took place over 10 rounds & my teammates Tom, Seb & I scored podiums in 9 of these, including 4 victories on our way to the Pro Class championship.

 

The year also saw me contest three 24hr races, the British 24hr at Teesside & two in France, both at Le Mans with a race in Prokart & a race in hire karts. Each race was with a different driver line-up but the teams I was in managed to finish on the podium in all three races, including a win in the Le Mans Prokart race!
